Anonymous is launching Operation Reconnect in the continuing efforts against the Church of Scientology. Projected to take place on April 12th. this operation will shine a spotlight on families torn apart by the Church of Scientology.

WE NEED POSTERS AND LEAFLETS. We must get enough posters together to advertise Operation Reconnect by Saturday April 5th. The first priority is to find a suitable poster. It should include all relevant information so that someone looking at it can find out all they need to join us on April 12th. Absentis has stated that he's got sufficient Photoshop skills to put something like that together. Secondly, we need leaflets to hand out during the protest on the 12th. Machine Gun said he can arrange the printing, it's just a matter of getting something to print. There's no reason we couldn't use the same leaflet that we used for the protest on the 15th of March. So, Find or make suitable posters and leaflets, then get them printed. This is the first priority.

10:00am - Meet at Cafe Alt
10:45am - Leave Cafe Alt and march to the CoS
11:00am - Protest (Rickroll aplenty)
12:15pm - March to Parliament hill

Meet at 10am Cafe Alt. We have a brief meeting going over our intent and making sure everything is in order. From there, we collectively march to the CoS on Rideau St for 11am. Protest there and rick roll for an hour before moving on to parliament hill to party it up and have a good photo op. All anons will remain pacifist by following the Rules for the use of Parliament Hill, (ie no amplified speeches/music) from 12:00-12:30 for a ceremonial concert
Ideally, we should find a speaker to deliver a message that we can record and distribute. Machine Gun said he has a History teacher that might be good, Absentis has access to the Psych department and should also do what he can do find a suitable speaker. In the absence of a speaker or an individual suffering from disconnection, OFFICIAL ANONYMOUS MATERIAL can be used to deliver a speech that we can record. At the worst, we can write something ourselves.

This is something rather obvious that we didn't discuss at the debriefing on the 29th, but we should look into having official big time news media present at our protest. Somebody who's in the know should volunteer to send emails of letters or make phonecalls to major media outlets in the Ottawa area. I think there's a media contact page somewhere on ED.
Another part of the media front is the video we have of the protest we did on the 29th. We've got a great propaganda victory to make happen provided we can use the footage that we have properly. This is a lower priority task, but extremely important none the less. "severe bullbaiting" is not to go without a fittingly severe backlash.
Discuss on IRC what to do with the footage that Max has.
